Hans Pritschet, a former member of the Regensburger Domspatzen, attained degrees in Church Music and Music Education(with distinction) in Regensburg. He received a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volks and completed a doct orate in the area of music psychology. He studied the fundamentals of historical performance practice in Zell an der Pram as well as with Joshua Rifkin. Hans Pritschet has received many honours, including the 2009 Kulturförderpreis of the City of Regensburg in his capacity as harpsichordist for La Sfera, an early music ensemble. Since early 2011, he has led the well-established Renner Ensembles Regensburg. He is also active giving concerts as a choir director and organist, piano accompanist, trumpeter and singer. His repertoire covers works from Gregorian Chant to the music of the present day. Many critics consider him a musician of exceptional ability and stylistic acumen, with a special gift for making music “speak”. He is responsible for the artistic direction of the annual series, “Konzerte Sallern”. He serves as an artistic assistant at the University of Regensburg, where he also teaches organ.
