Diane Pascal

Diane Pascal is internationally recognized as a violinist and versatile musician. She was Primarius of the Lark Quartet from 1995 – 2002 and, more recently, a member of the Rosamunde String Quartet Munich from2006 – 2009. She currently performs with the Da Ponte Piano Trio and takes part in many renowned music festivals as soloist and chamber musician. Ms. Pascal has appeared as Concertmaster with the Camerata Salzburg, the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra in New York, and with the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra as Artistic Director. She has recorded extensively, including a recording of Amy Beach’s Sonata for Violin and Piano with the pianist, Joanne Polk, as well as recordings made by the Lark and Rosamunde Quartets. Ms. Pascal is an avid proponent of “new” music and collaborates often with other like-minded musicians, including the Klangforum Wien. She has held teaching positions at Bennington College and the University of Oklahoma. Her own studies were at the Curtis Institute of Music and the “Mozarteum” in Salzburg with Ivan Galamian and Sandor Vegh.
