Born in Sindelfingen, Annette Winker studied with Alfred Rinderspacher, Eberhard Marschall, and Hermann Herder. Above all, she is interested in chamber music that is off the beaten path. Several compositions have been dedicated to her, including Moritz Eggert’s Ablenkungsmanöver, which is recorded here. She collaborates with the conductor and pianist Klaus Simon, and together they continue to seek out unknown and newly composed repertoire for bassoon and piano. Along with her solo work, Winker also appears as a chamber musician in the Pocket Orchestra of Freiburg, the Holst Sinfonietta, and the Offenburg Ensemble.
