The organ music of Joseph Haas occupies a special position in his compositional output. Haas, a pupil of Reger, enjoyed great success during his lifetime and was a co-founder of the Donaueschingen Festival. His music is characterized by references to Baroque forms and his harmonic language is notable for its richness, all of which bear witness to a composer of uncommon facility. Beatrice-Maria Weinberger performs on the symphonic Späth organ in Riedlingen and shows herself to be an ideal interpreter of Haas’s works.

Beatrice-Maria Weinberger studied organ with the church organist Franz Lehrndorfer at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, where she also studied Catholic Church Music and Music Education. In 1988 she won a Sponsorship Award from the city of Coburg. After finishing a degree in Church Music (A-Examen), she went on to complete her final examinations in organ performance in 1990. Following this, Weinberger worked with Franz Lehrndorfer in his organ masterclass, which resulted in a Masterclass Diploma. In 1993, she received her accreditation (Staatsexam) in Music Education.
Since 1988, Weinberger has been serving as organist and choir director at the parish church of St. Philippus in Munich. In addition, she pursues an active career as a concert organist, both as soloist and as a duo partner with her husband in works for organ (four hands) as well as in music for two organs. Together, they have recorded the complete organ music of Johann Ludwig Krebs.
