ARTIST

Don Camillo Chor

Don Camillo Chor – this name stands for unusual arrangements and musical diversity: from Duruflé to Al Jarreau, from the Beatles to Brahms — the choir is well versed in many styles, focusing, however, on a cappella pop and jazz. In July 2008 the choir won a gold medal in the category Jazz at the 5th World Choir Games in Graz (Austria), thus belonging to the best participating choirs from Germany.

Florian Helgath

Florian Helgath got his first experience with choral music as a member of the worldfamous choir of the ‘Regensburger Domspatzen’ in his home town of Regensburg.
At the Munich university of music and performing arts he started studying music to become a music teacher, then he continued studying choral conducting with Prof. Michael Gläser. In spring 2008 he completed his studies with a Masterclass Diploma.
His conducting is characterized by an extremely broad musical spectrum. As the conductor of the „Don Camillo Chor“, the „Via Nova Chor“ and of the „Große Orchester des AGV München“ he is in a position to realize not only oratorical and symphonic works but also a cappella choral music of all epochs including even jazz and pop.
