Harald Jers is lecturer at the Cologne University of Music, and at several music academies. Furthermore, he is visiting lecturer at several European colleges of music and a member of the jury at international choral competitions. In addition to that, he holds courses in conducting in connection with choral acoustics and voice training at international symposiums on choirs, at music festivals, and at conferences. Jers has made a name for himself in the field of ancient, and contemporary, choral music, which is shown by numerous recordings and publications. He obtained a research assignment by the EU at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and was awarded the first prize of the Acoustical Society of America for important scientific and practical results of the research in the field of choral acoustics. In 2010, Jers received the Grand Prix for conducting at the International Choral Competition of Debrecen.
